The Retro:
Demi Remick is a virtual throwback to the Golden Age of Hollywood, reminiscent of Ann Miller and Vera Ellen, attacking her routines with a fierceness and energy that takes us by the throat and throttles our senses leaving us exhilarated, exhausted and yet crying for more. In my mind, Demi is the best tap dancer of our generation! The new “It Girl”, Demi, the Retro. - Phil LaDuca

The Dance Enthusiast
“Tap-dance choreographer Demi Remick’s Radio Days, is a work of frantic escapism, with three dancers romping through a selection of Broadway melodies, movie soundtracks, and the billboard hits of yesteryear (“If I Knew You Were Comin’ I’d’ve Baked a Cake”). The mood is carefree, and sometimes gently romantic, but what makes us sit up straight is the energy in Remick’s breakout solo, a joyous and full-bodied expression of life. Was this dance really in Technicolor?”

The New Yorker
The New York City tap festival returns, in person for the first time since 2019, with a full array of classes and events. The lineup for “Rhythm in Motion,” a sampler of tap choreography at Symphony Space on July 9, is short on major players but includes the talented Demi Remick, Jared Alexander, and Kaleena Miller. On July 10, a massive cast assembles in Times Square for “Tap It Out,” a free demonstration.
CBS Sunday Morning
With studios and theaters still closed because of COVID, James Whiteside, principal dancer of the American Ballet Theatre, brought his portable Harlequin dance mat to Brooklyn’s Prospect Park with his friend, tap artist Demi Remick, for a tap demonstration. Whiteside also provides kids with dance mats of their very own through his #takethefloor2021 initiative.
