Demi Remick & Dancers
Demi Remick & Dancers is a New York City based tap dance company founded by dancer and choreographer, Demi Remick. The company explores the infinite possibilities of music, movement, and nostalgia in united conversation. By embracing tap dance, jazz dance, improvisation, and the unique personalities of the dancers, each piece will invite you to step back into the past through the lens of tap dance.
We aim to honor America’s rich music and dance traditions by carrying the history of those who came before us within the music and movements we make. Entertainment, storytelling and honoring our predecessors are at the core of each piece. The possibilities of vintage movement within different musical environments push perceived boundaries put on where tap dance can fit in present day culture. Demi Remick & Dancers hope to perform with the joy of the Golden Age and the integrity of past tap dance artists, all the while reminding us to recall our own histories with compassion and take each moment of the present day on with a smile.
